Private to public

  I changed the privacy settings from private to public and accessible to search engines last night but my blog still shows as private.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  re: http://patokagroveum.wordpress.com/ It’s not private. It’s public. Clear your browser cache please and know that Google will still have the private designation indexed appearing in search results until your publish more content that gets indexed and drive that result down the SERPs (search engine pages results).

  When you go from Private to Public, search engines have already stored the information that your blog is not to be indexed, so they won’t be indexing it for awhile. It takes longer to get listed than if you’d never set it as private at all. The best thing you can do is attract an incoming link from a blog that IS indexed.

  Okay thanks. When I go to “my blogs” it is still showing it listed as private. I’ll try a few of these things.

  That My Blogs page often takes a couple of days to update.
