I am trying to migrate a wordpress site hosted on a private server into pablodompe.wordpress.com. I managed to import xml data but I see no way to upload all my media files. Is this possible? Is this something provided by the pro bundle?

Media files will only come over if they are part of a Post or Page AND you choose the correct option somewhere in the import (sorry can’t remember where) to have media files transferred.
If the files are not part of a Post or Page then you need to move them by hand – you can FTP into your old .ORG site and put the media files on your PC then upload the files you want –
sorry no short cut to glory here – it is a down side to the transfer process

Thanks for the reply auxclass =)
The media files are part of posts and pages but they are not currently only, only on a MAMP installation in my computer. While importing, I saw no mention at all about the transference of media files….

Your WordPress.COM blog needs to be able to see where the pictures are stored to import them – if you have a local host install on your own PC I doubt the media can be moved automatically.
I will flag this for the staff to see if they have any suggestions

That is correct, the blog needs to be publicly accessible online in order for us to import the media files.
