probably bogus new signups

  Lately I have made no entries in my blog, so was surprised when I suddenly began getting new readers. By now I am quite sure they are bogus – all or most have an outlook.com address, and no names. Do I care? Do you care? It makes me nervous, but maybe it doesn’t matter.

  @weavingfutures2012 we’ve seen a rash of these lately, had a fix implemented, but they got around that. We’ll keep at it. In the meantime, if you’d like to avoid the emails, you can head to wordpress.com/me/notifications and disable email notifications for new follows there. The other notifications (like the bell icon) will still work well, and any spammers will likely be removed as followers before you’ll see a notification there.
