Problem importing posts

  I had a problem importing from a self-hosted WordPress blog yesterday, and got a message that the import had failed. When I go back to the importer, I’m still getting the status message that the import is in progress.

  I tried importing from my hosted WordPress blog and got the same message again…I just checked, and it’s still saying that the file is being processed.

  About how long ago did you start the import?

  I tried right after you reset the importer on June 7th. I checked a while after I started the import, and didn’t get back to it again until yesterday. I used the same file both times, but it seems OK (it opens in a browser without a problem and nothing looks scrambled) I had imported a file to another blog from the same source (blogs hosted on Laughing Squid) without a problem.

  When you retried, did you use a freshly generated export file?

  No…didn’t think of it until after I’d tried to import the file.

  Ok, I have reset your importer again.

  Would you please try now with a fresh export file?
