Problem Receiving e-mail on .edu account.

Calling all WordPress Gurus. I am taking a course at the local community college, and it’s all online. Yesterday, I set-up a WordPress.com account, but accidentally mixed up the prefix from my home e-mail, with the suffix from my .edu account. I spent an hour online talking to a WP tech, and he finally got it. What happened is that I tried to edit the e-mail, and it sends a notice to your old account, which is non-existent, to confirm the new account. One hour later, he said would fix it on the back end. Problem solved? No. My teacher sent me a link to my e-mail account (.edu). I received her e-mails, but not the invite from WordPress. The account is locked for school and security, and the only way you can join is through invite. It’s gone where the lost socks go. Meanwhile, 3 hours later, and two days into the course, I am no more near the goal. Any suggestions?

I have flagged this for the staff

what is the account you are trying to set up?

is there a blog address associated with the account?

those two items will help the staff find your information to help you

  • I’m slightly confused. I’m seeing the email associated with the WordPress.com account you are posting from as being the one you asked the staff member to change to.

In other words, the email on your account should be correct according to the info I have in front of me.
