Problem Registering My Domain

  I received an error message when creating my new blog, AJuxtaposition.com. Though I chose the “register new domain” option and entered my credit card data, the error message said the domain was not registered but WordPress technicians were working on it. I never heard a follow up. What’s the status of this and what steps do I take now?

  I also don’t understand why the address is not simply “ajuxtaposition.com” or “ajuxtaposition.wordpress.com” but rather has the word “dotcom” spelled into it.
