problem registering organizational name

  every time I fill out the application form, after I hit enter and accept, I get an error notice: “The “Organization” field can only contain the following characters: a-z A-Z 0-9 . , ( ) @ & ‘ – ! + [space]”

  And every time, a backslash (/) is entered in the middle of the organization name. Instead of being Ivory Ain’t Cool, it’s Ivory Ain/’t Cool.

  I delete the backslash, hit enter again, and… repeat! Done this about a dozen times now.

  You are creating a URL and URLs do not have any punctuation. Site titles do but that’s not an issue at this point.

  Do exactly as instructed and enter only letters and numbers – no punctuation and no special characters please.
  http://ivoryaintcool.wordpress.com will be the result.

  Thanks! now somehow I got stuck with “ivoryaintcooldotorg.wordpress” obviously, i don’t want ivoryaintcooldotorg, just ivoryaintcool. Any idea how to fix that?

  http://ivoryaintcool.wordpress.com/ already exists, which is probably why you were given ivoryaintcooldotorg.wordpress.com instead to go with http://ivoryaintcool.org/
