Problem renewing domain name

  I can’t renew my domain names, even when I put correct credit card infos. Can you help me?

  What exactly happens when you try? Are you getting an error message of any sort?

  It tells me the transaction has been refused, without telling me why. But I tried with two different credit cards and both have enough money on them and no restrictions

  What country are you located in? Or, more importantly, what country are the credit cards issued in?

  Is this for the domain epikritics.com? If so, the issue may be that the user account you are posting from is not the owner of that domain.

  Could you have a second WordPress.com account?

  I would encourage you to not just let the domain expire if you have any interest in using it again in the future. Domain expiration is a long process:

  Domain Expiration

  And at the end, there is a chance that someone will have swiped the domain out from under you and you will not be able to re-register it. Now, this risk is lower for non-common domain names. But even so, I’ve seen some fairly odd names get snapped up.

  Yes but it seems that I don’t really have an other option. Unless you know how I could renew the domain name

  There are three blog administrators on the site in question. You are one of them and one of the other two is the owner of the site and the expiring domain.

  He can either transfer ownership of the upgrade (and site as well) to you or can renew the upgrade himself.

  Hi there,

  The current owner of the domain will need to contact us directly and ask us to transfer ownership. (He’ll need to specify the domain name he wants to transfer and the username of the person he wants to transfer it to.) Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
