problem sizing images

    i’m relatively new at using wordpress, so i apologize in advance if this problem has an obvious solution.
    i use chatoicsoul template and i found that if i size my images to 520 pixels wide (typical images are 520 x 390 pixels) and then upload them to wordpress that the images fit nicely into the template. okay. great. i’ve been doing this for the past couple of months without any problems. then when wordpress upgraded the system i noticed that now when i upload a 520 x 390 image and insert it into my page the image size has been reduced to 497 x 372 and the quality of the image has degraded a small amount.

    how can i upload and display 520 x 390 images with the new wordpress system? thanks!
