Problem uploading a premium theme

  I received instructions to upload me new them via Appearance -> Themes -> Install Themes – Upload. However, that option is not listed in my menu. How is that possible? I just subcribed to wordpress, so I should have the latest version.

  Another options is supposed to be to go through the root directory, /wp-content/themes/ . It may be in /httpdocs/ or in /httpdocs/yoursitename/. How do I find the root directory? My website has been down for two days now because I cannot figure this out. HELP!!!!!

  If you are talking about a site hosted here at wordpress.com such as this one, http://matrixfineart.wordpress.com/ , linked to your username, we cannot add themes at wordpress.COM. We are limited to the 145+ (and growing) themes found in the dashboard under appearance > themes. Themes found on the internet are for self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

  Themes at wordpress.COM have to be modified to work within the restrictions here and to support the unique features. Themes straight off the internet (which are for self-hosted blogs) will not work here.
