Problem with Domain

Hello – I am having trouble transferring my domain from WordPress to Wix.com. My domain is showing as unavailable to purchase through Wix.com, however, it is not showing as I own the domain through WordPress, even though I purchased the domain originally on WordPress. It seems as if my domain is in limbo somewhere; unavailable on WordPress as well as Wix.com and not able to be transferred. When I type in my web address in my browser is gives the message: Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
I do not want to upgrade and use this domain on WordPress any longer however. Is there a way to get this domain back and use Wix.com?

Hi there,
Do you want to transfer notablynourished.com? You cancelled that domain upgrade on 2017-03-23, which is why you are no longer able to see it in your account.
I can try to restore the domain for you but I’d need to send a payment request for the domain cost ($18). If we can recover the domain, you can then transfer it to Wix.

I’ve sent a payment request to the email address on your WordPress.com account. Once that has been paid, I’ll contact our domain registrar.

Good news! I was able to restore the domain :) It’s now active on your site and you can manage it from your Domains page:

I’ve refunded the money you paid as you actually have a few days left on your plan which covered the cost of the domain, sorry about that.
You can start transferring the domain to Wix using these instructions:

Hello – Thank you for working on this for me. I am in the process of completing the transfer and just received an email from WordPress stating that, “The transfer you requested has been declined because you opted-in to a transfer lock for 60 days when you agreed to the WordPress.com Change of Registrant policy.”
Can you please explain why this got denied when I have had the domain for longer than 60 days? Is there a way I can get this approved?

Hi there,
Our registrar has placed a lock on the domain so I’ve contacted them and asked for it to be removed. I can’t see any indication the lock needs to be there — as you say, you’ve owned it for longer than 60 days and there are no recent changes to the domain information.
I’ll let you know when the lock has been lifted and you can continue with the transfer.

Hello there – I have been in the process of transferring my domain again to Wix and I think it has gone through, but I am experiencing some difficult accessing the new site from certain browsers/computers/times.
Do I have to cancel the domain with WordPress before it will be fully functional through Wix? Thank you for your help!

There is no need to cancel the domain with WordPress.com — you will renew it through Wix from now on.
After the transfer has been confirmed it can take up to 5 days to complete and things may not behave as expected during this time. Once the transfer is complete you can speak to Wix about updating any details.
The domain is showing as transferred on our system which means it’s on it’s way :)
