Problem with domains

  Hi! So, I got my domain ‘andreabeatrice.com’ from here. I had a hard time using WordPress so I decided to switch to Wix. So, in order for me to get my domain to Wix, I thought that I should delete my WordPress account. I’m now very lost. All I want is just to get my domain ‘andreabeatrice.com’ and transfer it to Wix. Please help me, thank you

  Hi there,

  Luckily you did not delete your WordPress.com account, for if you had you wouldn’t be able to post here, and it would be much more complicated to get your domain back.

  Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.

  In this case we can still restore the domain to your account, after which you’ll be able to transfer it to Wix instead.

  In order to do that, you will need to have a site in your account, so I can either undelete andreabeatrice999187629.wordpress.com and restore the domain, or you can create a new site for this purpose.

  Please confirm if I can restore that site to restore the domain. After you transfer the domain to Wix you can always delete it again :)

  Perfect. I’ve restored the domain, and you’ll again see it at My Site ->Manage ->Domains.

  I have the same question. I am looking to transfer my domain and am unable to do so. What do I need to do to transfer my domain?

  Hi –

  What’s the domain in question? Is it at least 60 days old? You need a transfer code from your domain provider and then you can start the process. On our end you’ll need to add the personal plan to your account. See here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
