problem with site and WordPress access

  • Unknown's avatar

My website is hosted by hostpapa and designed by Elementor, and I have access to both of these, but cannot access WordPress as no account seems to exist. My website only shows its first page, which is I think due to plugin problems, but I need to access WordPress.

    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Unknown
    Correct account: Unknown

  • What is the URL of the site you’re trying to access?

    Welcome

Hostpapa disabled the Elementor Pro plugin and I no longer get the first page of the site either. I can access WordPress now but do not know what to do next.
I can’t seem to find my website anywhere!

    Thanks
    Lynn

  • Hi there,

When I visit onethegreenmuston.co.uk I see the following error message, no site actually loads.

There has been a critical error on this website.

We can’t help directly because we don’t host onethegreenmuston.co.uk on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.

Instead your host (Hostpapa) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. Specifically our custom hosting environment does not show critical error messages of this nature, which is my other clue that you were using a different form of the WordPress platform what is not the same as we offer here.

The good news though is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

The folks over in the open-source forums are more familiar with these kinds of critical error messages and are in the best position to help you troubleshoot, thanks!
