Problematic user

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi there! So, on my latest blog post, I got a single like from someone. I checked their page to see if I wanted to follow them, but their page was full of explicit and violent recreation photos of Barbies that were … Disturbing to say the least. I don’t particularly want this person to have access to my contact information, and was wondering if there’s a way to block them.
    Thank you so much!

  • Hi Alexis,

If the site is hosted on WordPress.com, please report it as explained here:

    Report a Site

If the site is not on WordPress.com, there’s nothing we can do. People can link any site they want to their Gravatar profile. However, if they’re using an explicit Gravatar image, you can report their profile from the Gravatar.com site by viewing the profile at https://en.gravatar.com/{username}, and clicking the Report Abuse link at the bottom.

But there is no way to prevent them from viewing, following or liking your content. If you have a site that’s set to public, that means anyone with an internet connection can see it, and anyone with access to an RSS feed reader can follow it – they don’t even need a WordPress.com account.

We do not display any contact information to visitors to your site, so the only way this person would be able to view your contact information, is if you added that on your site yourself.
