Problems logging in on app

    Hey, I’ve recently created a WordPress site. I downloaded the desktop app, but it won’t let me log in with my username or email. I have a feeling it’s because I logged in using my Google account initially. What can I do about it?

    Hi there,

    Are you trying to use your WordPress.com account that you’re using to post here with the app, or are you trying to log directly into a WordPress site hosted somewhere else using the admin username for the site? And have you tried using your email address rather than the username to log into the app?

    The desktop app can only be used to manage sites connected to a WordPress.com account, so if you’re trying to manage a site hosted somewhere else, you’ll need to install the Jetpack plugin on that site and connect it to your WordPress.com account. Then you’ll see the site when you log into the app using your WordPress.com username or email address.
