Problems with domain name redirect and Google

    When at least one person tries to go to my site using my domain name (http://ameliacgormley.com) he gets a warning from Google that reads as follows: “This is probably not the site you are looking for! You attempted to reach ameliacgormley.com but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as *.wordpress.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of ameliacgormley.com.

    You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site.”

    I am worried that other visitors to my site might also be getting this error and this is the first I’ve heard of it, though I know I can get through fine, as can some other people I have checked with. worse, I am afraid this might flag me as a purveyor of malware/spam/whatever.

    Hm, that error isn’t normal, but the behavior (of http://ameliacgormley.com/ actually being ameliacgormley.wordpress.com) is.

    I recommend that they use the report links in the notice to report the false-positive.
