Problems with enlarging photos in carousel and site freezing when i try on phone

Hi. My WordPress site has a technical problem. When I or someone else want to enlarge a photo in a post it comes cropped and across the whole screen, presenting just one small detail of the whole photo. This happens when i want to do it on my desktop computer. When I go on android phone, phone version, when i try to enlarge a photo the whole site freezes. It was not like this before. The carousel used to work just fine until about a year ago. Can you help fix these issues?
