problems with galleries

I have a website with large image galleries (100+ pictures) and have trouble editing the order of gallery items. When loading new images, they appear in the bottom of the gallery, and have to be moved one by one. The previous interface placed new items no the top, and it was easy to assign theyr order or drag and drop.
In Google Chrome (windows 7 home) whenever I save the gallery it disappears from the page and I have to close it without saving and open it again to continue editing the page.
Is there a way to configure the order of the gallery by upload date?
Thanks for the help, my blog is andersonatacado.wordpress.com.

  • The Chrome issue seems rather odd. I use Chrome myself, and haven’t encountered that yet.

First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting http://whatbrowser.org/

If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

If it is, please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

As for the gallery order, drag-and-drop is currently the only way to order the gallery via the Visual editor, but if you switch to the Text editor tab, you can force it to order by date by adjusting the gallery shortcode: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/#gallery-shortcode
