Problems with new domain under a new account
-
I thought I set up a new domain for my husband (mountaintimenow.com) under his paid account. He was using lookingforahome.wordpress.com and a couple of domains under my paid account.
These are the problems as I understand them:
mountaintimenow.com is a post, not the home page. Not the domain with a theme.
Any feature image I try to put on his page is media from using lookingforahome URL.
Signing in with my account pulls up his domain.
They seem linked, and I don’t know how to separate them.Any clues will be great help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
These are the problems as I understand them:
mountaintimenow.com is a post, not the home page. Not the domain with a theme.https://mountaintimenow.com/ is the address of the site, not a post. At that link I currently see two published posts, as the site is set up to show the most recent posts on the front page.
If you want the front page to show a static page instead, you can change that under Homepage Settings at My Site ->Customize.
Set a Static “Home” Page (Front Page)
Any feature image I try to put on his page is media from using lookingforahome URL.
That is what’s supposed to happen. While your site appears at the mountaintimenow.com domain, it is still hosted on our servers at the lookingforahome.wordpress.com address, so the dashboard and all media files on the site still refers to that address. There is no way to prevent this from happening.
Signing in with my account pulls up his domain.
Which account? The site, https://mountaintimenow.com/, belongs to the username you’re using to post here, janbohlmann. This account also owns the Personal Plan and domain on the site. I see no other username accounts that have access to this site.
If this site should belong to a different username account, you can follow these instructions to transfer the domain, plan and site to another account:

Welcome to Mountain Time NowThe old blog “Lookin for a Home” has served its purpose, and it is time to move on to other ruminations. Sometime the lines may be as simple as a meal or a trip. That is the link for your site’s preview in the Customizer in the WP-Admin dashboard. No visitor to your site can access that link.
Your site’s home page is at https://mountaintimenow.com/
If you don’t want that page to display your latest posts, but your welcome page instead, you need to change the Homepage Settings in the Customizer as explained at the link I gave above.
When I enter mountaintimenow.com/wp-admin I get the dashboard for lookinforahome.wordpress.com.
Yes. That is supposed to happen, because both those links point to the same site. The dashboard will always use the WordPress.com URL. There is no way to change it. But visitors who view your actual site in their browsers will see the mountaintimenow.com address in their browser address bar.
Visitors to your site have no access whatsoever to mountaintimenow.com/wp-admin, and you shouldn’t share that link with people you want to look at your site. Only you have access to the dashboard.
