Product variations showing options in the dropdown boxes that aren’t available to purchase.

I have a product with 60 variations (screws). It has three attributes – diameter, length and then pack size. However every variation is showing in the dropdowns even if it isn’t set up as a variation on the product, for example, a 5 x 50mm screw is only available as a 200 piece pack. Other sizes are available in a 100 piece pack. However the 5 x 50mm screw shows both pack sizes as an option to select, but if you choose 100 it says this selected combination is unavailable. How do I set up the product so that it only shows what is actually available i.e. 200 piece pack for 5x50mm?

  • Hello there,

    Many thanks for reaching out.

Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?

It sounds like you may have one to many variations at play there.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I have now had contact from Woocommerce support and they have advised that this is expected behaviour for 30+ variations. They have provided a PHP snippet that will increase the threshold from 30 to 100.

  • Hello there!
