  No matter what I do, I can’t get my profile picture updated. I’ve tried with one that is 55kb and one that is 7kb.

  Hi there, At the moment I see a man with a beard and glasses on a yellow/brown checked background.

  Yes. I resolved the problem. It was complex and convoluted, but got it done.
