  Hi I am in the midst of creating my online business back office profile picture set up. Will it be necessary that I have to pay the $48 in order to do this?

  Setting up or changing a profile picture does not require any upgrades, no, as that’s a feature of your free WordPress.com account, and you change that from the account settings page at https://wordpress.com/me/

  Upgrades, like our $48 Personal Plan, are purchased for individual sites in your account, like http://bridgetmartiniicloud.wordpress.com, and only unlocks the additional features you’ll see listed at My Site ->Plans for that specific site.
