I have a profile on wordpress.org, where I have a hosted blog. I also have my old profile on wordpress.com. I host a wordpress site for work, and would like to add myself as a contributor to that site, but would like it to link with my wordpress.org profile. Is this possible?

Can you please tell us the sites involved so we can advise you more accurately?
WordPress.org is not a hosting provider, so you can’t have a site with them. If you have a profile on WordPress.org, all that can be used for is to post in the WordPress.org forums.
But if you have a self-hosted site, you will have an admin account to log into that site itself. That is a profile specific to that site, with no connection at all to either WordPress.com or WordPress.org.
How you add yourself as a contributor to the work site would depend on whether that site is on WordPress.com or self-hosted. If it’s on WordPress.com, you can invite any other WordPress.com account as a contributor by logging into the account that owns that site, and then going to My Site ->People ->Add.
If the work site is self-hosted, log into WP-Admin and go to Users ->Add New. That will allow you to create a second account for that site, but this account will be unique to that site just like your admin account, and will have no connection to either WordPress.com or WordPress.org.
It is not possible to add your WordPress.org profile as a user to any site, as that is not how WordPress.org accounts work.
You also cannot link admin accounts between different self-hosted WordPress sites, as those accounts are always unique to the specific site for which it’s created.
