    My mom received a promotion for a personal domain name a while back and she got a really good deal. I wanted to upgrade my site name and was wondering if there are any current promotions or upcoming ones? Thanks!

    Hi there,

    We’re not currently running any promotions, but if you’re opted in to marketing emails at https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/updates/ you’ll receive notification via email when we do run one. We run promotions at different times throughout the year.

    However, I want to note that domains can only be used on WordPress.com as part of one of our paid plans, and all our promotions are for discounts on a plan, not just a domain – each plan includes a free domain registration, but it’s subject to buying the plan first.
