proper credit when using someone else's pic

    How do I make sure I’ve given proper credit to other owners/photographers/sites when I use a picture I found on the internet to illustrate my post? I’ve tried to do so, but I’m not sure if its correct.

    The official law is, you can’t use an image without permission. Some people set their copyright so that they give you permission in advance, with certain restrictions (like, you can’t use their images to make money). I’ve had good success with linking the image back to the source site, but you may want to also put the photographer/artist’s name in the caption AND link it to the source. For full protection, you might want to enable Zemanta on your blog, asit only offers images that you are allowed to use widely.
