Public page looks nothing like edit page.

  My Edit page looks great (for what I want), but when I click ‘view’ or paste the URL into a different tab it looks entirely different, only showing a ‘Home’ button which I deleted ages ago. My ‘sub-pages’ also have a multitude of buttons which I also deleted many edits ago. This is for an assignment, please help!
