Public page on private blog?

  Is it possible for a private blog to display a public page for information only? We would like new potential users of our blog to encounter a “gatekeeper” associated with the blogsite and then be directed to contact an administrator for an invitation.

  No. If you make the blog visibility private then this is not possible.
