Publish via email from no-reply@…
-
I would like to post to my blog via e-mail. It works fine except when I send from a mail address which is called no-reply@… Do you have any restrictions regarding e-mail addresses?

Hi there,
On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.
If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, please ask for help at https://wordpress.org/support/forums instead, or contact support for whichever post by email plugin you’re using on your site.

Okay, I can see the failed one in our logs.
We don’t allow posting by email from no-reply addresses, no, as they are often used by spammers who use bots to try and abuse this feature to bulk-post content to WordPress.com.
And to answer your next question, we’re not able to whitelist a specific email address to be excluded from this.
Is there any particular reason why you want to send these from a no-reply address? The email address a post is sent from is not visible anywhere in the post, so there’s no way someone without access to our internal logs can know what address you sent it from.

Okay, thank you for your help! No, there is no particular reason so I will just change the email address.
