Published blog post now deleted

    Hi I posted a blog post titled ‘Analysis: Messi’s Free-Kick Dominance Emanates From His Gift but Is Perpetuated by His Opponents’. My timeline says ‘Post published’ on the 9th of April but its since disappeared. I haven’t modified it or changed it and I can find no explanation for why this has gone missing – please can you assist?

    Hi there,

    Our logs for your site show your account deleted two posts on 9 April, one originally published on 9 April and the other published on 25 March. After deleting those posts your account also cleared the Trash folder, so those posts were completely deleted.

    If they were still in the trash it would be possible to restore them, but as they’ve been cleared from trash as well there’s no way to restore those posts.

    If you did not do this, it means someone else with access to your account did. As a safety measure I’d recommend you immediately update your password, and if you use a shared computer, make sure you log out and clear the browser cookies every time after you’re done working on your site.
