Published Post Not Appearing on the Post Page
-
To Whom It May Concern:
This is the first time that this is ever happened to me. Last night, I tried to post an article to my WordPress.com Blogsite and, it doesn’t show on the “Post Page”. So, I deleted it and started all over again and this morning and, once again, the same issue occurred.
However, the post DOES show on the Dashboard Page.
Why is that happening? I thought possibly that I might not be logged in but, I verified that, and I am signed in.
So, I am greatly puzzled as to why I have been able to post all my articles to date and yet this one that I am believed is posted apparently isn’t posted, or otherwise it would should show on the “Post Page”.
Your thoughts and comments would be highly appreciated.

Hello there,
Many thanks for providing the detail of the problem there.
When I take look at mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com are you able to point me to the posts page please, where the articles are meant to show please?
Many thanks in advance.
-
Hello Aleone89!
Thanks for responding to my query.
Here’s the “Dashboard Page” (https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/) that shows the post titled “VA Benefits for Spouses, Dependents, Survivors and, Family Caregivers” posted and, here’s the “Post Page” (https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ posted) that doesn’t show the latest post / article that I wrote last night and attempted to post last night (my time here in the Philippines).
Please note, that when I tried to do this last night, with no results, I deleted the entire post and tried again this morning (my time here in the Philippines) and, this time only tried to post 50% of the article, thinking that maybe the post / article might have been too long to post and, still got the same results.
Now, I am not over my limit, as I am currently at Storage Space
3,072 MB Space Allowed (Managde Uploads) with only 1,571.95 MB (51%) Space Used, so I know that’s not the problem either.Thanking you for your time.
Respectfully,

Hello there,
Many thanks for getting back with that information.
I think there’s some confusion happening here.
https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ is the WP Admin view of your site.
To see your posts in WP Admin, you would go from
https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ > Posts. To make posts visible to your audience on a posts page – you would need to set a posts page in the customizer. Please see how to do this here: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/#3-create-a-blog-page-optional
I hope this helps!
-
Aleon89,
I am the one that’s confused, as I have posted 159-Posts to date on my Veterans Blogsite and, all the articles that I have presented have shown on what I provided to you.
So, why is it that with this post that we are speaking about, any different than the other 159-Posts that I posted?

Hello there,
I am the one that’s confused, as I have posted 159-Posts to date on my Veterans Blogsite and, all the articles that I have presented have shown on what I provided to you
.
This page here: https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ is the back end of the site and only visible to administrators of the site.
It’s the same with https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ > Posts.
I’d just like to double check the end goal here if I may, are you looking to display your articles on a posts page on your site https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/ ?
Many thanks in advance.
-
Aleon89,
Additionally, what you mentioned, and I quote: “To see your posts in WP Admin, you would go from
https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ > Posts”, end of quote. That page that I referred to you states at the top “Posts” and on that page, it shows a post from 1/11/2021 BUT, it does NOT show the post that I posted this morning. Yet on the Dashboard Page it indicates:Recently Published
Today, 10:59 am VA Benefits for Spouses, Dependents, Survivors and, Family CaregiversSo, if this post (which was published today my time here in the Philippines), why doesn’t it show on what I and you referred to in the first paragraph of this message.
Per you second paragraph and I quote: “To make posts visible to your audience on a posts page – you would need to set a posts page in the customizer. Please see how to do this here: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/#3-create-a-blog-page-optional” end of quote, I am unsure why I would need to do this, as all the daily viewers to my WordPress.com Blogsite, use the Sidebar on the home page of MabuhayUSVeterans titled “https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/” to navigate freely thru the 25-Categories listed, which all they would need to do is click on one of those items and, it will take them to whatever post / article, that they wish to read about.
Please note that I just cleared all my cookies and the problem remains.

Hello there,
Ok, just to recap…
This is the first time that this is ever happened to me. Last night, I tried to post an article to my WordPress.com Blogsite and, it doesn’t show on the “Post Page”.
Please provide a link to your posts page, or where you’re expecting to see your latest post appear.
I’d like to be sure we’re seeing what you’re seeing.
I can see that VA Benefits for Spouses, Dependents, Survivors and, Family Caregivers is the latest, and most recent post on the site: https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/2021/01/13/va-benefits-for-spouses-dependents-survivors-and-family-caregivers-2/
The answer to the above will hopefully determine next steps.

Aleone89
Ok, one last time, whenever I post an article that I have written, I get a confirmation that it has posted on my WordPress.com Website, such as this indicated with the most recent article: https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/2021/01/13/va-benefits-for-spouses-dependents-survivors-and-family-caregivers-2/
However, I then go to My Site (https://wordpress.com/home/mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com) showing My Home and click on the drop down title “WP Admin”, which takes me to “Dashboard” (https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/) to visually see if what I have written has indeed been posted (which up to this time, has always showed the posted articles with the number of posts that have been created).
(NOTE: I personally keep track of all the articles that I have written and posted on a Windows Spreadsheet, so I don’t re-write an article that is the same name and content.)
However, after I posted this one article, and click on “WP Admin”, which of course takes me to “Dashboard”, the number of posts hasn’t changed, as it still reads 159-Posts and should read 160-Posts. Yet, the article that I wrote DOES show in a lower box titled “Activity” showing this: Jan 13th, 10:59 am VA Benefits for Spouses, Dependents, Survivors and, Family Caregivers AND, when I click on the “PIN” where the number of “Written Posts” are, it takes me to the “Post Page” (https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post) and the latest article that I wrote is NOT showing, even though on the previous page that I mentioned, it DOES show that the article was published!
(NOTE: I click on the “Pin” in the upper left hand corner, if I need to edit the previous post (which I occasionally do when I wish to add or delete Tags or edit what I have written) and, am taken to “https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post” which as mentioned DOESN’T show the most recent Post that I wrote (which to date has always showed) and still shows the previous post that I wrote dated / published: Published 2021/01/11 at 1:46 pm.)
My question is, where is the most recent article that I published on January 13th at 10:59am, as there is no way for me to edit the post? I am totally stymied as to what has happened. (NOTE: The previous night, I had the same issue, trying to post this exceptionally long article that took me two days to write and, it did the same. So, yesterday (my time here in the Philippines), I thought I would print 50% of the article and, then if it shows that it has been posted, I would then EDIT this same post and add the remainder of the article and, add the tags. However, as mentioned the posted article is NOT showing, when ALL my PREVIOUS Posts that I have written do show on “https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post” for me to edit.
So, something is very weird with this whole situation and, hence why I posted my query to see if anyone might have had a similar issue.
Respectfully,
Mabuhay US Veterans
P.S. When I googled this on my browser, I didn’t find anyone else with this same situation and hence, decided to ask people of the WordPress Forum whether anyone else had a similar issue.

One other piece of information, if the article was published (like all the rest of my articles have been), why DOESN’T it show that it is on the “Post Page” (where all my Posts to date are showing from the most current to the very first one)?
This has really gotten my stymied.
Additionally, you might want to know why I add or delete Tags and, the truth is, when I recently started adding tags…when publishing the article, on the right hand screen in a box, where it should list the categories, the word “Category” is missing. Thus, there is no way to add any tags until AFTER the published article shows that it has been posted on the “Posts Page” (https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post).
So, I thought I would add this last piece of information onto what I am having problems with.
Please note, the reason for my delayed responses, is because I am a Retired U.S. Air Force Veteran permanently retired and residing here in the Philippines with my Philippine-American Spouse. Unsure where you reside BUT, if you happen to be residing in the U.S., I am currently 16-hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time and 13-hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time. Hence, I am asleep while you may be awake.

Hi, just to confirm, is this the posts page you’re referring to?
https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.phpI see the post there. Do you not see it there? If not, what is at the top of the list?
Note you can also look here:
https://wordpress.com/postsI see it in both places. Can you check both?
Also, would you like to have a page on your site that shows all of the latest blog posts, instead of just linking to categories?
-
Supernovia,
Thanks for your response!
No, I don’t see my post on https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php, as all I see is the post titled “Government (VA) Furnished Headstones, Markers and Medallions”, as being the last post / article that I posted, which as I mentioned to Aleone89, the most recent post should be listed at the top of the list with, the title marked “Government (VA) Furnished Headstones, Markers and Medallions”, would be underneath the latest post / article and, the oldest Post / Article would be listed at the very bottom.
Yet, with the other website that you provided (https://wordpress.com/posts/mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com), I do see it there as indicated at the top of the list. So, this is all so very strange to me, as if I can’t access this post on “https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post”, how can I expect to edit this post and, delete the word “Blog” and enter VA / Veteran Info, as it should have been indicated with a Category.
I also need to add tags, as for whatever reason, whenever I now post an article, I am not being allowed to enter any Tags nor any of the 25-Categories that I created on my WordPress.com Website, which show on my Home Page (https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/).Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanking you ahead of time.
Respectfully,
MabuhayUSVeterans

No, I don’t see my post on https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php, as all I see is the post titled “Government (VA) Furnished Headstones, Markers and Medallions”, as being the last post / article that I posted,
Here is what I see:
If you don’t see that post in that position, then the issue is with your browser not loading that one post for some reason. Please try clearing the browser cache to see if that makes a difference. If not, you can check if logging in via another browser helps.
I also need to add tags, as for whatever reason, whenever I now post an article, I am not being allowed to enter any Tags nor any of the 25-Categories
Can you expand on “not being allowed”? Are you getting an error when you try to select a category or type in a tag?
I’m assuming you mostly use the editor in WP-Admin, rather than the one at WordPress.com/posts, correct? And do you use the classic editor or the default block editor?

Hello Kokieh!
As mentioned to Supernovia AND also to Aleone89, that one post that I am referring to DOESN’T show on https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ and, yet it DOES show on https://wordpress.com/posts/mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com. However, when I clicked on https://wordpress.com/posts/mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com, I was able to edit the post, adding tags and assigning it to the correct category that it belonged.
However, I decided to post a new post / article a short time ago titled ” Part XXXXVII – Constructing Our Home in the Philippines (Constructing Our 56.5 ft / 17.25m Long by 14.5 ft / 4.5m Wide Driveway)” AND, that post DOES show on https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ .
So, I am unsure why the most recent post shows on that page, when the former post titled VA Benefits for Spouses, Dependents, Survivors and, Family Caregivers DOESN’T. I mentioned last night to Aleone89, that I thought I might not be signed into WordPress when WordPress indicated that I was signed in. I then went to my cache and cleared out all my cookies and, still the problem exists.
Please note that on the Dashboard Page, it shows the post “Jan 13th, 10:59 am VA Benefits for Spouses, Dependents, Survivors and, Family Caregivers” that I am referring to, as not showing on the Post Page AND it also shows a more recent post that I posted late this morning (my time here in the Philippines): “Today, 11:49 am Part XXXXVII – Constructing Our Home in the Philippines (Constructing Our 56.5 ft / 17.25m Long by 14.5 ft / 4.5m Wide Driveway) and that post shows both on the Dashboard as well as on the Post Page (https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post).
So, I am puzzled why ALL the posts that I have posted BUT the one that I am referring to HASN’T posted to the Post Page. As far as my browser, it’s the same browser that I have been using for a very long time (Google Chrome), so I am sure that’s not the problem with.
Supernovia, did mention that she could see the post that I am referring to on “https://wordpress.com/posts/mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com” AND, I too can see the Post that I am referring to BELOW the most recent post that I posted late this morning.
So, unsure what the problem is, as now on the Post Page it shows my most recent Post and yet instead of the missing Post showing below that (as the missing post is one day older), it shows a post from earlier in the week. Thus, the number of posts posted on the Post Page is incorrect (meaning it only shows 160 now versus 161. Prior to this morning’s post, it showed 159-Posts Posted when in fact it should have read 160.
I would like to send you a screen print but I don’t believe this section allows a screen print to be sent, showing you what I am looking at, at my end.
Respectfully,
MabuhayUSVeterans
P.S. Please keep in mind, that I am 16-hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time and 13-hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time. Thus, if you contact me and I don’t respond quick enough, it’s either because I just had lunch or, am having dinner or, possibly sleeping when you are away (if you should be residing in the U.S.)

Kokieh!
Another issue that I am getting at my end, is when I go ahead and post my article (as this never happened to me below), I get a drop down box that asks do I want to “Leave” or “Cancel”. The way I take it to mean, that if I leave, whatever I am trying to post will NOT be posted. Yet, when I visit the Dashboard Page “https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/” and, this other Post Page: “https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/” it DOES show the post that I am referring to PLUS the most recent post that I posted late this morning, that had the drop down box show as well as it showed, while attempting to post the article that I am referring to from yesterday as well.
Additionally, I am looking at on the Dashboard Page “https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/” as everything being correct with the exception of the missing post and the actual number that should read 161 versus 160.
So to me, there seems to be a glitch in the system somewhere and, as mentioned, this has never happened to me with all my previous posts that I have posted with WordPress.com.
Thank you for your time and listening to my woes at my end.
Respectfully,
MabuhayUSVeterans
P.S. I am not the type of person to complain and, I have only used this forum to voice my concerns approximately less than 8-times, since I first went live in July 2020.

Kokieh!
Lastly, I cleared my Browsing History with Google Chrome and that still didn’t work.

Kokieh!
As a very last resort, I tried using Bing.com (which I never use, as I don’t care for Bing.com, having used Google Chrome for many years AND, guess what? The missing post shows on the Post Page right under the newest post that I posted this morning.
So, now I have a question for you…why would one browser that I have been using for so long, not allow a post to show on “https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post” using Google Chrome and, yet with Bing, it DOES show using the same website that I visited with Google Chrome?
Is there something that I need to do with Google Chrome that will allow ALL of my posts to show instead whichever one it picks to show, as something isn’t quite right with this scenario?
Respectfully,
MabuhayUSVeterans

Hi,
I do see your post in both WordPress.com and WP-admin:
It’s surely a browser issue, although we’re not able to give you exact details as to what is causing it on your end.
If you haven’t tried it before, firstly make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/.
Also, try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled. If you’d like to share a screenshot with us, you can use an online tool for that (such as https://snipboard.io/) and paste the link into your reply.

Hello Frestomica!
Well, I do know that Google Chrome is up-to-date, as of last week because, when I had numerous issues with my computer not uploading current Windows 10 Updates, I spoke to a Microsoft Engineer for approximately a week, talking with through various issues that I was having and finally conceded that I would have to perform a Clean Install of Windows 10, which took care of everything and, I had a new Microsoft Program to work with, also uploading other Microsoft Programs (i.e., Excel and Word that I frequently use) to include Internet Security too. So, that couldn’t have been the issue either.
So, I guess the only way for me to move forward is to use WordPress solely with Bing and, everything else that I use with Google Chrome, as that seems to be the only way that all my posts / articles will be posted clearly for me to see, versus wondering where a post disappeared to and, then having to contact WordPress Forum for help.
Additionally, here’s the screenprint that you asked me to provide to yourselves, as to what I have been seeing with several of my posts this week, which still doesn’t seem to make much sense to me either and maybe you can all figure it out at your end, as to why when trying to “publish” what I have written, that this “Error Box” pops-up, making it look like when I want to finish publishing a post / article that I may very well lose the post / article in the process: snipboard.io/4btHFe.jpg
So, I wish to thank everyone (Aleone89, Supernovia, Kokieh and, yourself Frestomica) for all the fine help is trying to get this situation resolved, as I am still puzzled as to why this happened and, will keep this open until I hear back from either one of yourselves, as to what the attached screenprint really means and why I am receiving it at my end when trying to publish a post / article using Google Chrome.
Respectfully,
MabuhayUSVeterans

I’d recommend trying to work directly from WordPress.com, instead of WP-admin. It sounds like it does work for you correctly, regardless of the browser.
here’s the screenprint that you asked me to provide to yourselves, as to what I have been seeing with several of my posts this week
Oops, it looks like you’ve uploaded the wrong screen share – it’s just an image of the two screen shares we’d like to see. You can drag and drop each of those images to snipboard.io and share both links just like you did before. Thanks!
