Publishing image through "New post" button is not working ?
-
I would like to publish an image through ” New Post” button
( not through a Dash board editor )When I select the “New Post” button on the right side of the toolbar ( it appears at the top of my screen when I am logged in to WordPress.com) it doest not give me an option what type of content i want to share ( if it is text, photo or video etc .. )
There is option “Title” and “Add media” when I click on “Add media” and try to insert an uploaded image into the post, an image does not appear there. This text appears instead :
How it can be fixed so I can publish new post – an image through “New Post” ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s right, it’s not working. Don’t use it. Create posts from the dashboard Posts->Add New page.

Perhaps you accidentally switched to the Text tab in the New Post editor in the New Dash. Regardless, I see the image posted to your site.
Also, post formats have moved to the sidebar under Advanced Settings. You’ll need to set “Image” there if it is not your default post format. You can set a default post format in your site’s Dashboard, under Settings>Writing.

Then I will refer the 2-5 “Where did my post go? All the content is gone! Plus I can’t add media” threads I see daily to you. They ALL have only one thing in common: the New Post button.
It may fail to fail on occasion, but it is the single biggest source of fail in all of WordPress.com, whichever browser you are using.

Thank you guys,
Yes, I finally posted an image through Dashboard editor.
But I preferred to use “New post” button though.
I set default post to “Image” but it is not working.Erika

I set default post to “Image” but it is not working.
Make sure you save your settings. That sometimes gets overlooked when the save button is down the screen.
