Purchase disabled

Hi Support Team, I was trying to purchase the Personal plan but received the error message: ‘Purchases are currently disabled.’ I am the account owner and authorize this transaction. Could you please help me re-enable purchases? Thank you.

Sorry about that, “Purchases are currently disabled” is a flag that gets applied at the account level, and it’s not something you can toggle yourself from the dashboard. It needs to be lifted by the support team on the backend.
The good news is it’s usually a quick fix once you reach the right people!
Head over to wordpress.com/help/contact and let them know:
- You’re trying to purchase the Personal plan
- You’re getting the “Purchases are currently disabled” error
- You’re the account owner and want to proceed with the purchase
They’ll be able to look into why the flag was applied and clear it for you. Could be something as simple as a payment verification step or a routine security hold, nothing to worry about.
Once it’s lifted you should be able to complete the purchase without any issues. Shouldn’t take long!
