Purchased domain not appearing after lengthy inactivity

    I purchased the a ‘.com’ domain name through wordpress.com in 2019. I got extremely busy, and never made the website. In September 2020, my credit card was charged $66 dollars from wordpress; presumably auto-renewing the domain name. I’m finally getting around to working in my wordpress account again, but since I never launched the site, ‘My Site’ just goes to options for creating a website; it doesn’t link to my purchased domain name. Additionally, ‘Purchases’ doesn’t show history far enough back to show the auto-billing from September. How do I re-link my purchased domain to my account?

    Hi there,

    I do not see any upgrades under your @aliciamckell2641 WordPress.com account when I check on our end now or in the past. So from that standpoint there is no billing history on this account. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/

    Is it possible you made your purchase under a different login? What is the URL of the site associated with the upgrade you are needing help with? Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

    I don’t remember using another login, but it is definitely possible. The domain name is surfaceofthedeep.com.

    Hi there,

    Yes, that site is under a different WordPress.com account than the one you are contacting us from. Do you know of any other email address that you may be connected to the site and account?

    If not, then we can help you with account recovery – but if you have multiple email addresses, I’d check them to see if you have any emails from us regarding the site.
