Purchased Domain, Redirects to Different WordPress (not mine) user
-
I purchased socialworktech.com off of GoDaddy when it became available.
I switched the nameservers to NS1, NS2, and NS3 dot wordpress dot com.
WordPress thinks that it belongs to socialworktech.wordpress.com, which is not my site. When trying to add the domain to socialworktechblog.wordpress.com, I get an error stating “This domain has already been mapped to a WordPress.com blog.”
Any clue as to what to do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You need staff help to sort it out – the domain name might have been mapped to another blog – Ihave flagged this for the staff to help

Howdy MacMan X!
Thank you and auxclass for getting back to me.
Support is not getting back to me on email… They “fixed” the problem on Monday and I have not heard back since I told them how their fix didn’t help me. socialworktech.com appears on my domain management list, but I cannot map my blog to it because WordPress thinks that it is associated with a different WordPress user.
What I stated in my email to support:
I cannot access socialworktechblog.wordpress.com at all when I make socialworktech.com my primary domain. My three URLS:
socialworktech.com
socialworktechblog.com
and socialworktechblog.wordpress.comALL redirect to a site I do not own: socialworktech.wordpress.com .
I own all three domains and paid for mapping on socialworktechblog.com , which I want to replace with socialworktech.com as my primary domain. I want to be able to pay to have socialworktechblog.com redirect to socialworktech.com, but wordpress is not allowing me to do that because it still associates socialworktech.com (which I own) with socialworktech.wordpress.com (which I do not own).
If you can fix this, I’d much appreciate it.
Thanks!

I noticed you sent a few additional replies to your support ticket. In the future, please avoid doing that. We handle support tickets from oldest to newest, and adding a reply to your ticket changes the age of the ticket to your most recent reply, thus dropping you back down to the end of the line.
Just to be sure we’re on the same page, do you want socialworktech.com to display what is currently at http://socialworktechblog.com/ ?

MacManX (sorry, I don’t know your name), I appreciate your help and attention to helping me out.
I want to make socialworktech.com my primary site, but I would also like the ability to purchase forwarding so that socialworktechblog.com (which is currently on my business card and other publicity materials) gets redirected to socialworktech.com .
What “Chris” did was render socialworktechblog.com to redirect to the blog site I do not own (socialworktech.wordpress.com) and that’s not what I want to have happen. I am hoping that the other Happiness Engineers can somehow cut whatever ties socialworktech.com has with the site I do not own.
Also, sorry about sending additional emails to support. Thank you for the head’s up.

Ok, you should be all set.
Is http://socialworktech.com/ what you expected to see?
http://socialworktechblog.com/ will redirect to http://socialworktech.com/ since both are mapped to the same blog and http://socialworktech.com/ is now primary. No additional redirect purchase necessary.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

OH MY GOD THANK YOU FOR FIXING THIS!
I see that you took off my redirect I paid for my other site (hacksocialwork.com -> socialworktechblog.com) and applied it to socialworktechblog.com redirecting to socialworktech.com.
I’m just re-purchased hacksocialwork.com’s redirect.
Thank you, guys, so much. You have engineered happiness to me :)
