purchasing of a domain

i bought a domain and it has not appeared after 15 hours. The money has gone from my bank account available balance. There is nothing in my transaction history and nothing in the domain list. So in effect I was charged for the domain and then never received it.
Does anybody know what is going on??

What is the URL of the domain starting with http:// -
i did follow that guide, yes! Basically when I had entered all my payment details and clicked the confirm button it loaded an error page saying that the domain could not be viewed at that time.
it is http://thesamharrisblog.com
wordpress are still saying that domain is available, yet my bank balance is showing that $26 is being held! the invoice hasn’t cleared yet, but I don’t want to repurchase the domain, and be charged twice.
Thank you for your help, I understand I’m probably doing something wrong with the whole thing!

Sometimes the registration fails – it looks like the registration did not go through – someone has flagged this for staff attention – the staff will refund your money and you can register your domain name again – the staff have a real good record of making sure you are not charged for something you did not get

Something went wrong during the registration. Could you please try to register the domain again at Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
There’s no need to pay again because I’ve refunded the $26 to your WordPress.com account.
