Putting pages into categories

  I have set up pages on my blog for recipes but I want to put them on the side of the blog under categories (for example have categories such as “cherry” and “pastry” then a recipe like cherry bakewell square will go into both these categories. Is there a way of doing this?

  That’s not directly possible, but you could build a Custom Menu and then use a Custom menu widget.

  Hi

  Thank you I have followed the instructions on the links you sent me but nothing is showing on my blog. However on my dashboard, under “categories” it has been saying “pending” for about a week now so do I need to wait for this to change?

  I’m not sure what you mean, I don’t see anything about “pending” at https://havecakeuk.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category

  As for the menu, you did create it, but you still need to add a Custom Menu widget to your sidebar via Appearance -> Widgets.
