  Of which site are you speaking? What is the URL?

  If you are speaking of mygeekactu.com, you only have a Contributor role on that site. Contributors on a site can create new draft posts, but cannot publish posts or edit published posts. If you need that ability the site owner will have to change your user role to Author instead.
