    Questions:

If I switch over to a subscription word press, what do I need to provide WordPress in order to have my own website owned by me? In the past, I have developed websites fully and it requires controlling various records and I wish to stay away from all of that at this time!

I have proprietary Python code that I wish to have controlled by my website.

I wish to have bidirectional communication between the website and the Python code.

Do you have programmatic examples that are easy to follow? I want to be able to read from the python code and have a python code also be able to respond to data the website.

So the WordPress controlled website would act in response to output from the python code and vice versa.

I want to have all of the WordPress code eventually absorbed into the Google Cloud product. Is this possible without modification from the WordPress standalone version?

  • Hi David –

I’ve removed your personal details. It’s best practice to leave that information out of public support forums, like this one. They’re indexed by search engines and that makes the personal details available to a lot of people, very quickly.

You don’t need to know any code for using WordPress.com. In fact, there are limits on what you can do because we’re a managed environment. https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

I think there might be some confusion about the 2 different versions of WordPress. What we do here at WordPress.com is quite different from running your own WordPress installation. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
