  Hi, I have a new website on another platform. I’d like to close my account with WordPress, but I want to know what happens when someone clicks on my old WordPress URL that’s been deleted?

  Hi there, If your old WordPress is a site that’s hosted here on WordPress.com, a deleted site will display a message like “XXX is no longer available, the authors have deleted this site”

  You can avoid that by not deleting your site and leaving a last message with a link to your new site, or by purchasing a redirect upgrade.
