QUESTIONS about possibly switching over to WordPress
-
OK… I recently posted (in anger, which never ends well) that while trying to find more info regarding a possible switch to WordPress, I couldn’t find any HUMANS to ask product questions to. No sales phone number??
I never looked at the thread because I just assumed I either got no replies, or people got snippy with me.
I decided to just now take a peek and people DID chime in! BUT the topic is now closed…
SO, let me ask some questions here, while I am calm ;-)
FIRST, how many DIFFERENT websites can you have with ONE account? Currently I have 5, each for a different topic with different URLs. But all I can find on the WordPress site is you get multiple PAGES.
SECOND, how “WYSIWYG” is the builder? Most modern website builders seem extremely limited as to design freedom. Perhaps I am just too old fashion and this is the norm so sites are mobile-friendly?
THIRD, do the BLOGGER-IMPORT plugins actually work? I have four I’d like to move over as well.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can have as many free sites under one account as you like. You can have multiple paid sites under one account but each site needs its own paid plan if you desire a custom domain name for them rather than a new free address ending with .wordpress.com.
As WordPress is the world’s most used blogging software I would say it is infinitely customizable as well as there being thousands of plugins devised by others for advanced functions. A Paid plan is necessary to access plugins and to get more storage than the basic 1GB that comes with a free plan.
Rather than all the questions why not just work on your free site you already have here and experiment. Then you’ll know if the different (from Blogger) format is for you.
I haven’t experience of the Blogger importer. Bear in mind they are two different systems.
