  Hi I am tasked with reactivating this site – it appears that a purchase needs to be made but I am unsure how to go about that.

  WP.com: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  The site is still operating at https://svzingaro.wpcomstaging.com/ but the site’s owner did not renew the site’s Business plan, and it expired on August 14.

  You can purchase a new Business plan for the site at https://wordpress.com/plans

  Hi Mcmanx thanks for the prompt reply… there appears to be no way to purchase a plan.. The only options are to upgrade to business or ecommerce which are far too expensive and have too many features for this site. I would upload a screen shot but there appears to be no facility for this..

  I have been asked but the site owner to get the site operational again and am authorised (I’m an admin/contractor) to make the purchase on their behalf.

  McManx – I would just like to clarify before I inform the owner – you seem to be saying there is no way to renew the current plan level without first downgrading? The only way forward is to upgrade to a business plan?

  That is correct.

  If you want to purchase a plan lower than the Business Plan, the site must first be downgraded to a free site, which may result in the loss of any content created by plugins or third-party themes (since a Business or higher plan is required for those).
