Re-building my website

One of my family members built my website but owing to illness he has now transferred control to me. I am the original holder of http://www.tynemusic.com and I want to build this website from scratch. How do I go about getting rid of the original site details and pages so I can begin again. As I am now in isolation because of the Coronavirus, I will have plenty of time to scrap everything, and make a new start. How do I do this without losing my Tyne Music domain? I was using ‘Wix’ (http://den677.wix.com/tyne-music-2) originally which I set up myself so I’m capable of designing the site so I just need to know how to get started. (Dennis Westgate 585241576)

You can start a new site at https://wordpress.com/start and then import from Wix: https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-wix/
To add the domain, we have two options:
Mapping allows you to keep the domain registered with your current domain registrar and direct it to your WordPress.com site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
A transfer would allow to manage both your site and domain from the same place: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
