  Hi there,

  It looks like you cancelled that domain on 14 March, and then deleted the WordPress.com site to which it was attached. I can email our registrar to try and restore it to your WordPress.com account, and then you can transfer it away from us. Please confirm if you want me to attempt to recover it.

  Note that the domain might already be in redemption with our registrar after the cancellation, in which case they’ll require an additional fee to restore it, but I’ll only know that for sure once I’ve contacted them to request the restoration.

  I’ve emailed our registrar to ask that they restore the domain. I’ll also need you to create a new site in your account to which I can attach the domain, otherwise you won’t be able to access its settings.

  Create a new site and select only the free address and the free plan. Then I’ll connect the upgrade to that site once the domain is restored:

  Hi there,

  Your domain has been restored by our registrar, but I still need a site in your account to which I can connect it so you can access its settings. Please create a new free site and let me know the WordPress.com address, and I’ll connect your domain to that site.

  Thank you. I’ve moved the domain over to the new site, so now your self-hosted site should be working again, and you’ll be able to access the domain’s settings via My Site ->Domains.

  As the domain is currently being pointed to ehosts.com, where your annabelwyattart.com is also hosted, you should be able to set up a redirect on their end, similar to how you can have multiple domains on a site on WordPress.com, all redirecting to one primary domain.

  You could also point the domain’s name servers back to us, and then set up a regular site redirect upgrade on our end, but that’s a paid upgrade in addition to the domain registration, while your host might allow you to do it for free on their end.
