Hi there! I am new to wordpress and already have an existing website, but would like to transfer it to wordpress, but I have 2 domain names:
http://www.LydiaBandy.com
http://www.LydiasPianoStudio.comHow can I connect both to wordpress? Will I need to pay for 2 premium wordpress plans? They are both GoDaddy domains and currently hosted by HostGator (which I would like to get rid of as a host and hoping I don’t need to contact them).
Thank you for your time and help!

Hi!
I can answer all of your questions (and any more you might have!)
But first, just to clarify, both URLs point to the same website? They are NOT separate unique sites?
-
Thank you so much! They both go to the same site. I worked on it this afternoon and was able to transfer the domain names successfully from GoDaddy to WordPress. How long does it take to transfer? What should my next step be? Thank you for your time!

Welcome, Lydia! And thank you for clarifying: we just wanted to be sure you meant for those to point to the same site.
The transfer can take a few days typically (more details here) but that’s a great time to get started on your site’s content. In fact, you’re welcome to get everything set up here prior to changing the domain settings so they bring up the new site.
It looks like you chose a blogging template. You’re welcome to work with that and just start writing posts.
Or, you can start here:
https://wordpress.com/pagePick a layout you like, swap out the images and text (You can use text and images from your old site or add new ones), and publish it. Then you can make that your site’s front page:
https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/You can also make additional pages and posts, and link to those with a menu:
https://wordpress.com/support/menus/Since you’re a musician, I’d imagine you’ll want to include video and audio on your site, too, either on pages or in individual blog posts. Here’s how:

https://wordpress.com/support/audioOnce you’ve got some content in place, if you want to experiment with changing the site’s layout and feel on a more advanced basis, we have an excellent guide here:

Oh! I wanted to add this too:
https://wordpress.com/support/import/converting-an-html-site-to-wordpress/#create-pages-and-move-your-contentIf you want to have the same content and just modify the look a bit, this is a great way to get started.

Thank you so much! This has been very helpful and I will look over the content when I get a moment. Look forward to creating a new website for my business! (I had/have one for 11 years, but the content is so old that eventually is may stop working so I was advised by my former web developer to create a new one on my own and WordPress was highly recommended.) Thanks!
