re-subscribing to a website I accidentally unsubscibed to

  Message to WordPress:

  My email address is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  I intended to unsubscribe to a comment, but accidentally unsubscribed to all emails sent out by caitlinjohnstone.com

  Wordpress will not re-subscribe me to caitlinjohnstone.com despite me asking several times, even unfollowing then following again and despite creating a WordPress account so I can hopefully better manage my subscriptions.

  This might be a bug in your system. Or perhaps I made a mistake.

  Hi Andrew –

  No worries. I think you just need to fix this notification setting on your account.

  Go to https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/subscriptions

  Look at the bottom of those options for Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com and make sure that box is unchecked and then use the save button.

  Yes, you are right.

  I discovered that in the last few hours.

  One thing that confused me was that all of the blogs which I was following had an option to choose whether or not I receive emails regarding their blogs as a digest, but caitlin’s did not, so I thought I was not subscribed to receive emails from her.

  Also, I did not understand that the term “following” implied “subscribed”.
