  I use WordPress through a GoDaddy subsciption and have a WordPress log in but will only allow me to log in through GoDaddy not WordPress directly.

  The question: Can i transfer my WordPress dashboard with a go daddy subscription to a WordPress subscription equivalenat?

  Hi there,

  If your site is made through GoDaddy, it means you’re using the open source WordPress.org software, which is not the same thing as WordPress.com.

  The admin login you have for your site is completely unique to that site, and cannot be used to log into either WordPress.com or WordPress.org.

  If you want to manage that site through your WordPress.com account, you can connect it here by installing the Jetpack plugin on your site:

  There is no way to link your site to WordPress.org – that is just the website where the WordPress software is made, and you only need an account there if you need to post in those support forums, or contribute to the WordPress software yourself.
