Reactivate Website

My website was shut down a couple of months ago due to a credit card failure – the annual payment of $99 for WordPress Premium was not paid. I had a pipdig.co ‘Viva Viva’ theme linked with the website which costed $59. I would now like to restart the website, and have been notified of the $20 additional fee along with the $99 annual fee – meaning a total of $119 to be paid to reactivate the website. I am wondering whether all prior content (articles, theme, customised colours, images, links, etc.) will automatically appear back upon payment. If not, how will I be able to maintain all data which was on the website?

  • Hi there,

The problem is not that the credit card failed. The renewal went through, but then the charge was disputed with the credit card company, which is what caused your site to be locked.

If an upgrade expires it doesn’t lock the site.

    Chargebacks & Disputes

As soon as you pay the Chargeback fee your site will be unlocked and you’ll have access to all content on the WordPress.com site, thetrendeditdotorg.wordpress.com, again.

Then also please go ahead and purchase the plan again from My Site ->Plans. Let me know once you’ve done that so I can restore your domain as well. Please do not attempt to register the domain again, as you won’t be able to. Only staff can restore a domain that was removed due to a chargeback.

Your account has never bought a Premium Theme from WordPress.com and we don’t have any themes with the name “Viva Viva”. If you’d used that theme it wasn’t with a WordPress.com site. Pipdig.co themes cannot be used on WordPress.com, only with self-hosted sites using the WordPress.org software.

Once you purchase a new Premium Plan you’ll be able to activate any Premium Theme listed at wordpress.com/themes
