How can I make my blog page format a ‘read more’ one, as the current setup which is one in which you’ve to click the heading to open the full article is not as effective

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

You can do that by setting up a new blank page (you can also give it the page title of “blog”) and then add the Blog Posts block onto that page.

The Blog Posts Block has quite a few options for layout as well as things like showing a thumbnail image (featured image) and a way to display a “continue reading” link for each post. More info here: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/blog-posts-block/

Once you have that new page set up, you can edit your site menu to remove the link to the current blog page, and set it to this new blog page (the one with the blog posts block in it) so that visitors will see the new layout.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
