‘read more’ does not work at all

Hi all,
Can someone help me please? I’ve done everything in order to ensure the ‘read more’ working. But it did not happened. Unchecked the rich text format, before that I’ve also use to use the default ‘more’ button in the rich text editor. I’ve also switched to HTML mode and just manually typed the <!–more–> in between the sentence ore paragraph.
Just do not know what to do…

You are probably looking at the post on its own unique page. Be sure to look at the post on the MAIN BLOG page. On its own page, the More never shows up, because obviously those readers have already clicked More.
