rebuild and transfer

  I have an existing site hosted by S.B.I. and built by via their block builder . I would like to rebuild this site on a WordPress business theme and have it transferred and hosted via WordPress. What is the process so that I can retain my existing URL , but have everything under the WordPress umbrella
  what is the process please?

  Hi there,

  So the existing site is not using the WordPress software? If you made it with a static website builder, the only way to move it is to manually copy every post and page to a new WordPress.com site.

  First, create a new WordPress.com site at https://wordpress.com/start/site/. Select the free address option for a start, that way your current site will remain online while you build the new one. If you want to use Business Plan features you can upgrade immediately, though.

  Once the site is created, you can start moving your content across.

  Finally, when you’re ready to take the current site offline, you can switch the domain over to us, by either transferring the domain registration to us completely, or else just pointing it to us and connecting it using our domain mapping option:

  Hi Kokkien – many thanks for your reply and that you for your guidance. I now have a firm plan on which way to approach this task and look forward to enjoying the benefits of using WordPress.
